We wanted this pot – its about 18″ high – ever since our neighbor moved out in 2005 taking his 36″ versions with him. We got it on double markdown! Cary named him, Mr. Phish (a pun on her husband’s information security work). Later, we spotted a succulent display and thought that succulents might live (and be drought friendly) in our hot Santa Monica Mountains climate. Then, Cary noted that it would look like Mr. Phish was eating or spouting seaweed if we put this particular plant in it. As the auctioneers would say, “Sold, a bargain!”
